Fitting Contest
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2024

Each Team must be comprised of three members. Entry fee is $150 per team. All team members must be entered in the Junior Show. All team members will receive jackets and products from sponsors. Top 5 teams will receive awards. Each Team must have one member 13 years of age or under. (Ages as of January 1, 2024.) If there’s an exhibitor that wishes to compete, but does not have enough members to be eligible, contestants can be put into a random draw amongst names submitted.
Teams will compete to be in a “final drive fitting contest”.
The number of heats will be determined by number of teams entered.
Each heat will be 30 minutes in length. A 10-minute warning will be given.
At the end of the 30-minute allotted time, clippers down and work stopped.
All grooming rules of the NCC - The Classic will be strictly enforced.
The animal must be provided by the team, being an eligible entry at the 2024 Fall Edition steer or heifer show.
The animal must also be owned by one of the team members.
Each animal must be completely clean and dry.
Students will be judged based upon the following criteria:
- Quality of workmanship - Team Skills: Compatibility & Organization
Exhibits will be evaluated based on a panel of judges. Neatness of individuals and area will be in consideration.
